But as you move ahead, the landscape transforms. Lush greens slowly fade into barren, raw, and rugged terrain, creating dramatic, cinematic views.The road from Gramphoo to Batal (60 km) is one of the toughest stretches in Himachal Pradesh.

Final Stretch — Trek to Chandrataal Lake
A few kilometers before the lake, vehicles must be parked at a designated area. From there, a 1–2 km trek leads you to Chandrataal.

At this altitude, the air is thin, and you may feel slight breathlessness or fatigue.
