Bali in Indonesia is popular for its tourist friendly beaches, countryside ambiance, volcanic mountains, temples and stunning waterfalls spread across the island. While some of these stunning natural gems are hidden deep in the jungle there are a few waterfalls situated in the heart of Ubud – The “Tibumana Waterfall” being one of them.

The Tibumana Waterfall

The surreal beauty of Tibumana waterfall casts a spell. We felt like we just stepped into a paradise and were filled with awe.

Surrounded by lush greenery, the waterfall is a single stream that cascades down from the cliff. During the rainy season, the waterfall splits into two.
The cascading water pours into a round pool which is quite deep. Although the waterfall appears small compared to other Bali waterfalls, due to the height of the drop, the waterfall is pretty powerful.  So, If you wish to swim, be sure not to get too close to the waterfall and follow the instructions given by the lifeguard who is always present near the waterfall to avoid any mishaps.

Swimming in the Pool

We couldn’t stop ourselves from taking a dip into the the pool. The water was chilly and the evening breeze further cooled the air. It was fun swimming and taking in the exocit views and since one one else was present except us, it felt like we owned the place.
